Critical Care

Critical Care (CC)

With Microstream® technology, we are able to continuously monitor EtCO2 for all patients (neonates through adults), whether intubated or non-intubated.

The historical problems of monitoring EtCO2 in the Critical Care environment have been eliminated by Microstream® capnography and FilterLine® technology.

Microstream® capnography applications in the Critical Care Unit include:
  • Verifying and maintaining correct ET tube placement
  • Evaluating CPR compression effectiveness and identifying return of spontaneous circulation
  • Providing continuous EtCO2 monitoring during procedural sedation and analgesia
  • Provide continuous ventilation monitoring in any patient at risk for respiratory depression
  • Ventilation-perfusion status: tracking changes in a-ADCO2 to assess treatment and to gauge severity of disease
  • Assessing ventilatory status during ventilator weaning and post-extubation
  • Identifying neuromuscular blockage reversal
  • Identifying end-expiration on hemodynamic waveform
  • Monitoring head trauma patients
  • Evaluating severity of acute respiratory diseases
  • Evaluating severity of acute respiratory disease and assisting in treatment decisions
